Today I am at work, as usual. Things are going well. I have a checklist of projects that I have to complete, and I am whipping through the list quite nicely. That makes me happy.

However, I have yet to finish a task on my 101 in 1001. Oops. I'm working on it, people!

Dave and I were going to see Transformers last night, but it didn't happen. He just came over instead. It seems like a 'boy movie' to me anyway, so I don't think I mind if I miss it. Tonight he is hanging out with his friend Peter while I go to class. After this class, I have four more class meetings and I will be finished with financial accounting! Yippee!!

I logged into my ebay account the other day to find this:

Wowee! That's what I get for buying patterns for $1.00 and scrapbooking "touch of jolee's" 3-dimenstional stickers for $1.25. It's all about quantity, not quality baby! (Oddly enough, that is the second time that phrase has been used in two days- Dave and I were talking last night and he mentioned it...which is probably why it's still in my head)

Anyone else into that reality show, Pirate Masters? I love it. So does Dave and my mother. We watch it together. I wanted a mutiny last Tuesday just to see it happen.

Back to work. I'm updating links today, cause there is nothing worse than a broken link when you need to find information!!!

Annnnd I now have PhotoBooth cause I have a new mac here at work. This is me, right now!!

Why, thank you!
I work as the webmaster's assistant in a University. So basically, I design webpages, post press releases and do updates for all the various departments and groups on campus.

Thanks!

I don't realllllly scrapbook...I'm kinda a "scrapbooking-fake." I don't do paper cut outs as frames and I put like, 5 pictures on a page instead of, oh 2. I don't cut individual letters out for titles and write poems or put quotes next to my photos.

But.
I do use colored mat backgrounds and use fun 3-d stickers that relate to the themes of my pictures. I also use marker to label the people in the photo and use markers to put a title on each 'section' (my birthday, aix gala, etc.), usually in bubble letters.

Then I sprinkle each page with small foil multi colored star stickers placed in random spots. That's my favorite part.

Here are two examples of pages that I posted about fairly recently:

Show your pages! I'd loooooove to see them!!!

I'm a Faux-Scrapper too! And I love your pages, especially the little pumpkins. And I love those stars, I have them all over my macbook, my journal, my bathroom mirror... haha

My "Scrapbook" started out as just a journal, and then I just started making collages out of stuff I ripped out of magazines, catalogues and newspapers, which progressed into pasting pictures in, which was when I decided I needed some pretty papers and stickers and buttons and lace and ribbons and all the other neat things that they have at Hobby Lobby and Michaels.

Most of these "quotes" are lyrics I took from songs.

I had to throw in my snail. I'm so proud of him because I cut all the little pieces out and then glued him all together, so it looks like one of those $5 stickers that a craft store sells. I'm so proud if him. :P

Those pages were all done in a tiny little Moleskine notebook, then I graduated to a bigger book with brown pages, that remind me of the paper grocery bags, I really like it:

My dad found an old camera in the attic of our new house and in the camera bag there was a photo in it. I loved it so I made a page for it.

This is the closest to really "Scrapbooking" as I've gotten. This was the day I chopped all my hair off.

Annnd these are the two most recent pages I've done:

This was right after I got back from my trip to MD about a month ago.

And I did that one last night while I was suffering from a severe bout of insomnia. :P

Wow. Lotta pictures. Sorry! <333

wow. I'm speechless. Your pages are amazing!!!!!!

Mine is only photos at this point in time, but it's been on my mind to make a journal out of images from magazines and cutouts and whatnot that I like, the way yours is. But I could never get my other collages to look good, so I never did the full album journal thing. Yours look great!!! I'm so impressed!!!
And the snail is wonderful!!! I love snails!!! (I used to have one! haha)

Thanks for sharing, it was really great to see your work!!!

By the way, this is me on Rory's livejournal name on my mother's computer....ya know, starlit12...haha
