I'm back from the city and I'm just kinda tired. I want to do some more homework in a moment too but I'm half-watching 'Dancing with the Stars.' Very fun.

This Friday is the halloween party that I made my Little Red Riding Hood costume for. That should be a lot of fun! I'm just thrilled I was able to finish the entire costume on time and I won't have to wear an unfinished garment! I still wish that I had time to sew the fall dress that I had wanted to start. Maybe this weekend? As soon as I finish my comprehensive exams completely, I can start on fun things like that. I re-edited both papers on the train today and I found some things that I wanted to change. But, overall, they were both pretty good. I hope I pass though, there really doesn't seem to be any reason why I wouldn't pass, but it's still a scary thought!

I'm not heading over to my sorority meeting this evening. I thought I was going to, but there's just too much going on here and I got home later than I had originally thought I would.

I need to get a haircut soon. Hm.

For my Accessories class, we have to do a project where we buy an antique/vintage accessory and do research on it. We then give our research on the object, and then hope that they museum at FIT takes our object into the collection. I bought a 1900s black and white striped satin belt. It arrived at my house today. It is way cool, and I'm excited to do even more research on it.

Here it is:

I got it from a site called Victorian Elegance, if you want to start a vintage collection of your own! There are beautiful embroidered stockings there too!!

If the museum chooses not to take it as a donation, and I think that will be the case for most items, then I just get to keep it. Not too shabby. I like it.
