Things have been super busy around here lately! For the past three days, I have spent my morning to afternoons painting my great aunt's den. I finished it yesterday and it looks lovely. All the old scuff marks and boring beige are gone, and the room looks crisp and lively and so much better. The new carpeting is coming in soon, and I can't wait to see how that looks in the space!

Here are my pictures from Christmas:

Alyson and I about to open stockings. Our stockings usually consist of a bag of goodies NEXT to the stockings instead of the actual stocking. You can't even see the actual stockings cause we're in front of them! And, we all wear juicy velour jumpsuits on Christmas, lol.

Tuffy and I again.

Checking out my Coach purse from Dave!!

Dave and I with his gift to me.

He gave that to me last after all the other gifts he got me, and I was so surprised! I love it so much and have been using it every day since!!

Friday night, John and Lisa cooked dinner for us (John is Dave's brother and Lisa is his fiancee). Lisa is the one who actually cooked - P.F. Chang's Mongolian beef - and it was soooooo good. We stayed there for a while, and Dave played Conan (he doesn't have any gaming system cause he doesn't LOVE them or anything, but he enjoyed playing. It was cute to watch him) and I helped Lisa clean out her kitchen from the dinner - and I quickly learned where to put away all her dishes from the dishwasher! I figured she cooked for us, it was the least I could do. She also has gorgeous All-clad Cuisinart pots and pans that I adore, hahaha!

Last night, we went out to an Italian restaurant that John and Lisa really like with them. It was great to hang out with them as couples for two nights in a row! All of our dinners were really good, and it was a nice evening.

After that, Dave had told me that he had a "surprise mystery" for me. He hopped onto Route 3 East (to NYC) and I thought we were going to go to Hoboken, or something like that. Then I thought we were going to the place where we had our first date. Then when we got to the Lincoln Tunnel, I thought we were going to Serendipity cause we saw the movie together and we always talk about it. But no.

Where we went was AMAZING - Max Brenner's chocolate 'bar' in the East Village. It was sooo good. We shared a chocolate marshmallow crepe and I had a chocolate chai and he had Espresso with hot chocolate (a mocha?) So yummy. The place is sorta themed like Alice in Wonderland with "Drink me" on some mugs and stuff. Very fun. What a great surprise!!
I'll post pictures from there soon.

He was so sweet and it was so nice! Great dinner, great chocolate 'mystery surprise' in the city after!! He had watched a program on the Discovery Channel on how they make chocolate, and this place was featured. So, we live so close to NYC that he figured it would be a perfect night to go!! So much fun.

Today we have a family party on my side, and tomorrow we have a NYE party at his cousin's house. Busy busy!

You look pretty in the early morning. No fair. *g*

Max Brenner's is awesome. The chocolate crepes are delicious, I was there LAST Thanksgiving. Dave is so sweet. :)

I had never heard of it before, so I was thrilled! Hope you enjoyed it too!

PS. Where do you live? We go to a lot of the same places, and I know it's near me, but I don't remember EXACTLY where...
