There is a ridiculous amount of snow outside. Today was a day off for me, but I would have had off anyway becuase everything is closed. Dave is on a snowboarding trip with his friend in Vermont right now, and I'm really worried because there is no way he'll be able to get home, and I don't want them to attempt it because of the snow.

So many meet-ups and activities have happened in the past week, it's crazy! I love it!
On Sunday Karen and I went out, as I mentioned. I caught up with everything that is going on in her life and it was great to see her! Then in the week, I meet up with Gina after work one day. We talked and laughed, and it was also fun.

Yesterday, I met Agata and Ryan in NYC for lunch! We've been friends on Roxydoll for YEARS and it was so wonderful to hang out and we had Chinese food together at a nearby restaurant. Her hotel was only a few blocks away from my school, so it was so easy to meet up and was tons of fun! She was lovely and gorgeous in person and so much fun!

The 19th was Stephanie's birthday, so yesterday she came over so my mom and I could give her our gifts. I got her clothing - a jacket, a shirt a sweater and a collar for Gizmo and my mom got her shoes and a shirt. Everything sorta matches, so it's kinda a mini-wardrobe. After her gifts, she and I worked on our sewing projects - she is almost finished with her dress (it's white with little pink flowers) and I came to the realization that the purple one I am working on just won't work out. The bodice doesn't quite fit - well, it fits, but if you close the side seam, the front does something weird. And the cross in the back gaps on one side then - it's just bad. I had to redo the skirt twice, and I just came to see that I am putting in a lot of time on a dress that won't ever come out correctly! It's frustrating. I really liked the fabric and I thought it would have been nice, but that's what happens in sewing!

As I abandoned the purple dress, I started to work on another pair of boxers for Dave that I should be able to finish at some point today.

So today I am going to do some freelance web work and billing, along with some homework and possibly some sewing or scrapbooking! I'll have to touch base with Dave and see if he's going to stay an extra night or come home. Stephanie and her boyfriend Mike want to do a double date type thing this weekend, so that will be cool too!

It's just a social week for me! So much going on!!

The purple dress. Not cool. Isn't the fabric fun though?

I tend to get "Aga-DUH" quite a bit, as well as "AgEE-tah" (no idea where people get that one). I respond with, "It's like Agatha, without the h." :P

Re: The purple dress pattern
I wish I could be of more help, but I got it at a close out sale for Rag Shop when it was going out of business. I'm pretty sure the selveges said that it was printed for the Rag Shop - so I'm really not much help!

Re: The purple dress pattern
Sorry. I do order tons of fabric from fashionfabricsclub.com and reprodepot.com too though - fashion fabrics club might have what you're looking for!
