Today is my day off from my webpage job and that will let me clean, wash my sheets, relax and get things done around the house. That is a VERY good thing.

Yesterday I went shopping with my mom and sister to a drug store where we knew that had leftover Christmas things. One of the main things I wanted this holiday season was a Christmas tree for my townhouse, but didn't want to pay a lot for one. So, yesterday I bought a 6' fake tree that actually looks pretty full for $7.49. $7.49!! You can't beat that! Even if the thing is heinous looking, it was $7.49!! So at least next year, my townhouse will have a tree. I also bought ornaments on sale at Crate and Barrel, so now they have a place to hang.

I plan on doing some cleaning, then I would like to start painting the kitchen today. Since the construction, a lot of the rooms need to be repainted, but I have just been so busy with school. So, my goal for this month/week/whatever is to start painting! I think I can do it!

Tomorrow morning I am meeting up with Cynthia which should be fun since I haven't seen her in a while. We'll exchange gifts - yey!!

OMG that's awesome about the tree! Do you know how much it was originally? What drugstore was it? I'd like to get one myself. I didn't decorate my apartment at all, and I was in a really shitty mood this year. Maybe decorating would help next year haha. We have these new drugstores called CVS popping up everywhere, but I don't like them bc they're so busy! (I prefer Rite Aid.) But I should see if CVS has trees on SALE! :)

To reply on behalf of my sis, it was a Rite Aid - 75% off so the original would have been around $30. They also had pre-lit ones (white or colored lights) but I don't know how much they were. Hope this helps! (PS - the CVS around here didn't have much leftover - but we made a killing at Rite Aid with wrapping paper, dog toys, candles, holiday paper, and even a blow-up carousel for our front yard for $32.50!) Good luck and happy shopping!
