I almost forgot. I bought a new digital camera today. My old HP one just isn't cutting it anymore, and somehow my mom's new Olympus (but off of waranty Olympus) broke. My old HP was about 5 MP and my mom's was 7.1 - so I didn't want to buy a new camera with less quality than what we already had.

I looked at a bunch of options. Oh yeh, I didn't want to spend more than $250 on everything - batteries if needed, extra 1 gb card, etc. I got a Canon Powershot um...what's the number? A550 7.1 mp with 4x optical zoom (the old Olympus had a 3x optical zoom). So I can't wait for that to arrive. My second choice? Sony cybershot dscw55 7.2 mp. It would have been more expensive though cause it takes Pro cards. The one I bought was cheaper, and takes SD cards. I already have a few SD cards, and I bought a 1 gb SD card for under $20 too. I also had an amazon credit. Bought the camera and the card for about $170. Yey. Under my $250 budget! (By a lot!!)

So yeh. That was my morning. It was bothering me though cause I was looking up a lot of different cameras, and none of them were exactly what I wanted. One I loved ran on 4 aa batteries - what a pain in the ass, and it was 8 mp. The others either didn't take a card I had, were more expensive but not really better features, ran on a different battery than the (multiple!) ones that I already have, but didn't come with a rechargable one. Some came with a rechargable battery and charger, but then the card was different than what I had, and the optical zoom sucked. So there was really nothing that fit exactly what I was looking for, but this was the closest and I'm looking forward to it. I hope it actually works pretty well, but for what I use it for, I don't know if it even really matters all that much.

This has also been a shopping heavy week for me. I have an FIT gala, a reunion for the theater I used to work at, a wedding for a relative of Dave's and my sorority formal all coming up in the next few months. I have a bunch of dresses, but for that many events, I wanted *Something* new. So I went to this boutique after church on Sunday in Red Bank (Stacey Gemma, if you know the area) and bought a fun dress. There was an even funner Nicole Miller that was cheaper than the one I bought, but it was funkier and I wouldn't have been able to wear it multiple times as easily - it was strapless, and pouffy on top, with a tight bottom - and parts of it were orange. Really isn't something you can wear to four events in one month without wanting to kill yourself. I bought a black and white one. and here it is! This is terrible, but I like it better on me, in person than I do in that picture but whatever. I seriously tried on about 20 dresses, and like the digital camera, it had the best option/price/style for what I was looking for. I was also having a sort of a bummer day and it just made me happy trying on pretty dresses knowing I had events to wear them to. So soon you shall see pictures from my new digital camera of me wearing the dress. How thrilling!

On lunch I went to ran errands, the bank, to buy my rum for my cooking tonight and Harmon's for tampons, toothbrush, toothpaste and shampoo. The weather is finally getting warmer and nicer and that makes me so much happier. It was just nice to break up my day and drive around and get some things done. I really needed it!
