Here are pictures from our trip today to the beach:
I wanted to get a picture of me doing a handstand on the beach, but I had a hard time getting all the way up with my balance, as you can see...
And this is the best I could do (in my old age) and it's still not good form, but whatever. I'm (sorta) up.
Then my adorable boyfriend with upper body strength tries, and gets up really easily....grrr...
Then we decided to bury ourselves in the sand. Here I am digging.
And digging some more (It felt like I was digging to China. Dave had to help me dig too)
Here is Dave in the hole he made for himself. His was deeper than mine, but more of his body was above the hole for whatever reason.
And here we are together.
And here I am. Good thing he helped dig me out and didn't leave me like that. That wouldn't have been very nice.
After we got covered in all that sand, we went in the ocean for a nice long swim. The waves were nice - it was a little windy and cold, but whatever, I sucked it up and he loves the water, so he didn't mind. Unfortunately, we had to leave to go home and we got caught in some traffic. It wasn't terrible, but it's still a 2.5 hour car trip home!
My beach icon cracks me up. It's like me and Dave. I'm so pale, and he tans so easily. He bought this Coppertone clear spay on SPF 15 stuff that was really neat. It was like aerosol hair spray and created like, a barrier. I didn't really get any color after all our hours on the beach...which is good cause I was there about 3.5 - 4 hours each day (which is A LOT for me - I normally do an hour a day with my family cause I don't want to get burned) but since I had so much lotion on, I was able to stay all day and NOT get burned. But as a result, I don't look at all like I've been on the beach for two days!! Boo. But at least I didn't get burned either. I think that is more important!!
Homework time.
