At work today, we went out to lunch for a going away party for one of the girls in my department. It was a lot of fun, and I'm going to miss her!!

I finished reading The Great Gatsby about 5 minutes ago. I enjoyed it (clearly - it took me less than 24 hours to read!) Tomorrow I will return it to the library and start on one of the others. I also plan to work my way through all of the Harry Potter's - I haven't seen any of the movies and I haven't read any of the books. I must have been living under a rock the past few years!!

My newest web client approved of the design I made, and now I need to build the pages. I'm actually really excited about that!! Yey!!

I have some work that I need to do on my group presentation for accounting, but I just can't bring myself to do it!! I'm not sure why though - sometimes when I know a project will be difficult, it makes me want to tackle it less. It would seem that the harder it is, the more work I should put into it, but I sort of view in in the opposite manner. I have my accounting book open next to me, but I just can't seem to bring myself to work on it. (I read Great Gatsby instead.)

Dave came over after work and we bbq'ed herb marinated chicken. We also ate french bread, cherries and broccoli. It was a nice, light, fun summer meal with my family and we all enjoyed talking about hanging out together. We also opened up a bottle of Wegman's light pink sparkling grape juice! I love that stuff!! So that was a lot of fun. I love how he gets along with my family, and I get along with his family, and how our families are also close to one another. I have friends whose boyfriends don't really even meet their parents, and then both sets of parents don't meet each other either. I couldn't have that! I like how we are all super close.

8:53. Time for me to tackle accounting. FOR REAL.

The Great Gatsby is definitely one of my favorites! I'm suprised you never had to read it for high school. If you enjoyed the book so much, you should watch the movie! I totally feel you on that whole Harry Potter thing too. I have friends that keep telling me to read the books because they think I'd really like them but for some reason it just never really interested me.
