Here's an update on a lot! I feel like I have a lot to say. Show and tell.

My fall schedule for FIT has just changed. I was planning on doing the curatorial concentration for my Fashion and Textile Studies degree (opposed to the conservation). And I think I will continue to do so. But, I was going to stop my conservation classes as of last semester, and take History of Men's Wear as my elective. However, my advisor emailed me and said there was extra room in the Advanced Conservation class and wanted to know if I wanted in. And, I said yes! So, instead of Men's Wear, I will be conserving! I still think my ultimate degree will be curatorial based, but this Advanced class can't hurt. I was actually kinda honored that she emailed me and asked me. So, my schedule is now different but I'm looking forward to it.

Tuffy is so sweet. Yesterday I was about to go to bed, and I found him snuggled up to my pillow:

How cute.

This is a picture of the living room after my painting. It is actually the same color that was there before. However, the 'old' paint had darkened over time, so I had to do the entire room. Also, the crown molding had been taken down during construction and then put back up again, so I had to paint over all the chunks that had occurred during that process. I also painted the bricks around the fireplace the same smokey blue that is in the dining room. I like it. (Not bad getting the whole room painted and put back together in one day!)
Also, yesterday while at the hardware store buying paint, I got offered a job to paint houses. I actually wouldn't mind that, but there is so much going on right now...

I went to church with my mom today. The service was nice, and it was good seeing people at church - I was talking to a girl who recently got married, and she really reminds me of myself! So that was a lot of fun. Also, the old youth pastor is back from a missions trip, so it was nice to see him and his wife. So that was good. Afterwards, my mom and I went fabric shopping at JoAnn's. I had never been to a JoAnn's before, and I was pretty impressed! Then when we got back to north Jersey, I decided I NEEDED a hippo Webkinz. So, I went to two stores, and $10.69 later, I have Elyse the hippo. (Elyse is also my little in my sorority. I didn't name the hippo after her per say, I just really like the name! Nor does Elyse my little represent a hippo in any way shape or form. Just thought I should clarify)

Jake and Elyse.
So I took a picture for this blog since I'm crazy like that. But Rory jumped in and tried to kidnap Elyse. Little beast!!

Fabric. The blue in the upper left is the stuff I bought from FashionFabricsClub.com and the pattern. The green dinos are for boxers for Dave. The chocolate and blue is for this dress. (VoguePatterns.com - all patterns on sale for $6.99 today and tomorrow!! Go!!!)

And here is my vintage dress pattern and the fabric. Don't even get me started on this! I had ordered three challis prints from FashionFabricsClub.com to make the dress on the left (with three fabrics, four tiers.) I get the fabric in the mail (with the blue for the Anna Sui dress above) and only two of the challis came. The third was sold out! But that was the one I needed the most of, and the one that tied the other two together!!! So while at JoAnn's today, we found a third that would bring the other two together for the 2nd and 4th tiers. So frustrating. Rory also tried to jump at the fabric for the picture, so you can see her little footies.

I plan to work on the vintage dress asap. Like, as soon as I am done writing this.

So this entry has turned out to be a novel.
