The strangest thing happened. Tuffy was in my sister's backyard (she lives behind us) cause someone came over and he barks at people. He was out there alone. My backyard is fenced, and so is hers. There is a gate between our two backyards that was locked. As my mom walked the visitor out of the front door of my house, Tuffy was walking down the street! (I live on a street that wraps around - sorta like a cul de sac, but up the street and around the block and down is then the street that my sister lives on)

But how the heck did he get out of Alyson's gate???? He's not that bright. He's not smart enough to like, move things or dig or anything. And the funny thing, he wasn't trying to run away - I think he was upset that we 'left' him and was doing his best to get back home!! (My mom walked outside, and he came right up to the stairs, like "Hi! I'm back! You didn't forget about me, did you??") So we're a little worried that he either got through a super tiny opening that has rocks and boards to close it (and subsequently could have hurt himself) or if he was barking, and someone was annoyed by his barking and then just let him out! Both options are super scary. But he is back!! Tuffy has never run away before though, ever. He has gotten out of the house but he doesn't go anywhere. Another time years ago, we opened the front door to the house and he was sitting on our porch. Again, no one was quite sure how he got there, but he ran right outside. Scares me so much. Maybe he's smarter than I give him credit for?

Dave and I went to the opening reception for the show at the art gallery where I work. It was nice to see a lot of people enjoying the art and there was good food there too! (That's the third or fourth art exhibition/gallery opening I've been to in the past 4 months!) I wore the outfit that my mom bought me for my birthday from Anthropologie. Dave really liked it and I thought it looked good too.

Tomorrow I hope to work on my halloween costume and possibly some cleaning and homework. We'll see. Dave and I have plans to do something in the evening, but we're not sure yet what that will be.

my dogs run away all throughout the neighborhood and come back and are like "let us in we're hungry! we're sorry!"

But wow your Tuffy is a great dog for not even leaving the property.

Daphne has escaped a few times and she does the same thing- just sits on the front porch. It's still a scary thought though.
