Halloween is about a month away, and I am almost finished with my halloween costume! That means I'm doing well! haha. I was kinda worried that I wouldn't be able to finish it in time (in case I had to put it off for a while and just didn't get around to it) but it's almost done, so that doesn't worry me anymore!

Last night Dave came over, and my mom, Dave and I watched "Blood Diamond." It was pretty gruesome, but it was well done and interesting. I worked on hemming my cape while we watched it so it gave me something else to look at during all the killing scenes.

Here is the costume thus far:

I just need to add grommets to the vest with ribbon, ribbon to close the cape, a hook to the skirt above the zipper and possibly make a pair of matching striped panties if I have enough fabric/time. But it's almost completely finished! All the hard stuff is finished!

On September 27th, I made a list of the projects that I am in the middle of. Here it is updated:

-green feather flutter blouse. I have to add the front pieces for the buttons, and I might have to edit the size - it looks a tiny bit big. So I stopped.
-portrait of Tuffy - I'm almost done. I just need to add finishing highlight and lowlight brushstrokes
-Halloween costume of Little Red Riding Hood - I need to do a lot of work on that - but it does have a definitive deadline that I know I will make! (Coming along really well!)
-1970's pattern - tiered dress - I need to serge some of the inner seams
-Garden counted cross stitch - I have a lot to do, even though I have already finished a lot of it!
-I bought fabric for two other dresses that I haven't even begun to look it. I want to make them so badly!!!
-Lion sweater for Bobby - I have the bulk of it done, but need to just put it together and finish it!!
-I'm behind on an order of photo prints from Shutterfly that need to be scrapbooked
-1 shoulder tank with ruffle - I need finish it and insert grommets so I can wear it by next summer

I could have finished serging the 1970's jumper dress also, but I didn't do it yet. That won't take long either. I'm coming along, slowly but surely!

I think I'm going to spend some time now working on homework. How fun. I have some FIT stuff that needs to be finished and I'd like to work on that.

I hate how the weekend is almost already over. That makes me so sad!! It goes by so quickly!!

I'm always so amazed that you are disciplined enough to finish all these projects- I have had stuff on my to-do list for literally YEARS, it's terrible. I went to the scrapbooking store to buy some things-a really weird assortment of Valentine's, a formal event, the time I went jet-skiing, etc, and the woman kept giving me all these weird looks and finally goes "Did you just have prom or are you catching up on Valentine's Day, and I was trying to explain that I was trying to catch up on both [thank goodness she didn't know I graduated in 2002 or it would have been REALLY embarrassing]. And then of course I took all my new goodies home to work and instead went out to a party...Maybe I need you to make me a crafting schedule, hahaha.
