Yesterday we threw a party at my house for my Great Aunt's 80th Birthday. A caterer did the food and we had a lot left over this evening for dinner as well. I think she had a great time and that made me happy! Here are some pictures:

Dave's father took this of my feet and Dave's feet. I just thought it was kinda funny. I love my leopard shoes. I guess I like leopard shoes in general. I bought another pair from Banana Republic the other day too (these!) I now own at least 3 pairs of cheetah/leopard shoes. At least. I can't remember. When we visited my cousin Kim last Sunday, her closet had over 200 shoes. I went home and counted - I'm only at about 70 and that's a rough count cause I have a plastic bin of Uggs and boots and sneakers that I only counted the top layer of. (I have brown, red, green, high purple Uggs - I threw out my blue pair last summer) It's funny cause I wouldn't even say I was a 'shoe' person, I just didn't know I had that many. I also donated about 10 pairs to the local Animal Shelter garage sale two weeks ago - but about 4 pairs of the 10 were flip flops...
I went to church this morning with my mother and we did some shopping afterwards. Bombay is going out of business, which makes me really upset. I have bought a lot of furniture and artwork there in the past - especially for my townhouse. So we stopped by there, and I got a bulldog statue with a tray for either my townhouse or my bedroom at home. I have had my eye on them for years, and always figured I'd get one at some point, and I figured now was the perfect time. We also stopped at JoAnn's fabric store and I bought some fish scale fabric to make a mermaid tail for next halloween or costume party. It was on sale for $2.39 a yard and I bought 3.5 yards. I don't know exactly what I will do with it yet, but I will figure it out!! We also went to Pottery Barn and bought some stuff for my sister for my sister for Christmas. I want to do as much shopping as I can as early as possible!
I'm also looking for a new sewing machine. It actually bothers me cause I want to make the right choice, but I don't want to obsess over it. Hmph.
I also did some cleaning and organizing at my townhouse. I threw out some expired food in the fridge (ew - blackberry jam? How the hell did that get there?? Ok, I know how it got there. But I've never eaten it...) My mailbox was overflowed and the postman wrote me another love note telling me I need to empty my mailbox daily. Ha.
Tomorrow I have a lot going on, including getting my pictures taken for my FIT 'senior' portrait. I also have a big presentation on Tuesday which I really should be working on now...
