I'm back after a loooong day. In the morning I stopped by work and got some projects finished which is always a great thing! Then I took the train to the city (and it was raining, and I didn't have an umbrella, boo) to work on my final project for my conservation class. Turns out I keep screwing up the lining, so I re-worked a lining today that also didn't work. Two messed up linings for one sleeve - a project that I didn't think was going to be that big of a deal! So, I still have a lot of work to do on that. I ate lunch at about 11, and then worked in the lab - where I didn't get anything done. I then went over the the Met, which is closed on Mondays, for my class meeting since we had a private tour as part of our class. Well, we walked around the museum, and the tour was fabulous, but I was just so tired from standing and so out of it I thought I was going to fall over. It was also 7 pm and I hadn't eaten anything since 11, nor peed since 10:30. I get to the train station (after taking a subway ride all by myself - aren't you all so proud of me?? haha) and my train is boarding. No time to pee. I then had my hour long train ride, and was at the station for a bit (in the rain) and about to burst.

Anyone else ever really have to pee, but it just wasn't possible? Since the museum was closed, I wasn't able to wander to the public restroom. At the station, I was so worried about making my train that I didn't dare stop to pee. It was not fun!!

Tomorrow I'm playing hookie (sorta - one class is cancelled, the other might or might not be meeting - there isn't anything on the syllabus and the teacher said she'd keep us posted on what is going on - I've seen nothing so far so, who knows.) And it's super important to me to get some work done on my paper. More important than two train rides to a class that may or may not actually be meeting. I'm just behind and need to catch up!

Charley is really cute, but I feel like I can see him getting bigger and bigger each day. And that is so sad. Yesterday I was sitting with him on the couch, and he just jumped off! I thought he was going to hurt himself, but he was fine. He's now a big enough boy to jump off the couch!! He can also do two or three stairs in the backyard to the deck. They grow up so quickly!!!

The other day, I cleaned out parts of my room and my closet - and it turns out a sweater that I adored had two holes in it! It was a wool sweater from Ruehl - this one:

It was in my dry clean/hand wash pile. And I'm guessing it was a moth hole, but there were cashmere items (two Burberry scarves, a bunch of other sweaters in regular wool and a cashmere) close by and nothing else was damaged. And these must have been beastly hungry moths cause the holes were HUGE. I just don't understand what else it could have been! I would have seen two monster holes if it had happened while I was wearing it. Charley has never been in my closet, so I can't even blame him! I don't get it. I'm just annoyed cause it wasn't an inexpensiveb sweater - my sister bought it for me for my birthday, and I really liked the way it looked on. Ugh. However, I do get a kick out of cleaning out my closet, so it did remove an item from my possession - but just for a really sucky reason.

Kinda off topic - but check out the wikipedia page on Ruehl - I don't know if anyone else knows what Ruehl is, but here is a run-down on the brand and a little bit of history: Ruehl History - interesting read! When it first came out in NJ, it was advertised as "the Abercrombie shopper of 1999 that was in high school, has now graduated college and has a job, and still wants a relaxed style of clothing that has grown up a bit" and that basically described it perfectly to me in a nutshell. I wear their perfume too, Dave's mother bought it for me as a birthday gift once. Their stores are painted dark navy and chocolate brown, and have deep stuffed couches along with a lot of leather and are cozy, like a New York City townhouse. Very cool store.

Bed time soon.

HEY! Check your AOL email before midnight, there is a Cyber Monday coupon in there from me!!! I think you'll find it quite interesting.

Also, I LOVE your sweater. Too bad it got ruined! :(

And... we have a Ruehl in Columbus, believe it or not. It's funny, we have all these stores that many other places do not have, like an H&M or whatever. ANYWAY, it IS a really cool store, and I like the clothes in there a lot. Still too expensive for my budget though. I can't justify ever spending $50 on a tee-shirt. I'm all about Aéropostale!

Well NO WONDER there is one in OHIO. Abercrombie & Fitch is its parent! HA.

We've got a lot of clothing places headquartered here.
