My paper is finished! Sorta. I have it all printed, I just need a title page and illustration list. Which will still take me some time to create, but the hard part is finished, at least!

Last night Dave and I did some holiday shopping. We each got goodies for ourselves (ok, well, I just bought stuff for myself) and others at Sabon NYC, which makes all natural home made bath products. Fabulous. I got a wonderful body scrub that I had tried before on my hands, and couldn't stop thinking about it. (They have this awesome sink in the middle of the store for you to try out all the soaps and products - it's the 'complementary hand wash' for visiting. It's wonderful.) So we bought stuffs there, and we each also bought a few more goodies at Williams Sonoma. After that, we went to Michelle and Thorsten's house to eat zeppolis that we brought (however you spell it- those fried donut things) and we all watched the movie "The Family Stone." Dave and I had seen it before, but it was just nice to do some sort of holiday like movie together.

I just put most of my tuition for the upcoming semesters on my credit card. I don't know if I mentioned this, but I am taking an online fashion design class during FIT's winter term. So, I charged the tuition for that along with (most) of my tuition for Spring 2008. I'm trying to split it up to different cards so they all hit at different times - and I still have one more 'section' to charge, I just need to wait until the current statement closes - I really don't want to pay everything all at the same time. Ugh. I don't believe in carrying a credit card balance, so I always only purchase an amount that I KNOW I will be able to pay off within the month - but this is just scary. It's my last bit of tuition, I've worked my ass off doing web design for the university, freelance web design and waistressing to cover all of the other semesters, but man, it just hurts. hahaha. I think it is especially bad combined with Christmas shopping. Ugh. I think I will be staying at home, not going out, eating all my meals at home and not buying ANYTHING for myself for the next couple of months!! (Does that mean no more webkinz codes??!?) I just have to keep telling myself that this is the last semester.

Unless I decide to go for a PhD.

At least then, hopefully, I will be working full time.

I hope!

My mom and I went to church today and then walked around our favorite shopping center, but nothing interested us at all. We basically keep going to the same stores (Williams Sonoma, Pottery Barn, Anthropologie, Banana Republic, Gap, etc.) and anything that we liked we have already purchased. It was good to not give my credit card a workout - I didn't realize that I was going to be charging my tuition today - so that at least is a good thing!

We also took all 5 babies (Molly, Rory, Bobby, Charley and Tuffy) to get their pictures taken with Santa Claus at the local animal shelter. How sweet.

Man, I just realized that it has been an expensive weekend. I ordered my FIT class ring. I have been thinking about it for months, and finally decided on what I wanted, so I did that on Friday. (At least that is charge in $100 installments - at least that makes it sound a bit better in my head.)

I got a white gold ring with a mother of pearl stone, with MA and 2008 along the edges. The design is sorta leaves, and it will say Fashion Institute around the stone, with my first and last name engraved inside. I think it will be cute. I'm excited. It was on my list of things to do, and I at least want to be able to wear it a small amount of time before I actually graduate, so I figured now was the time to order!!

I'm about to go over my sister's house for dinner.
No one really wants to read about my money 'woes' and shopping expeditions anyway! I just like writing...haha
