One pair of snowboard red flannel boxer shorts finished! Woohoo!

So far for Valentine's Day, I have these shorts and this ring for him. When we went to Tiffany's around Christmas time, he tried it on and really seemed to like it, so I just thought it would work.

The knit hat basically went by the wayside, unless I can finish another one for him in the next few weeks. Hmph.

I did a lot of freelance work this afternoon for one client, and then took a break to finish sewing the boxers. I'm going to go back to working on the site, eat dinner, and then Dave and I have plans. Should be a nice evening.

Valentine's Day will also mark our 3 year anniversary. Our first date was on Valentine's Day 2005, how funny is that!? I went to his house, and I remember Joey at the door, and I let him kiss me and I think he knew I was a dog person and passed some sort of "test." Then, he took me to a cafe near NYC that has caves at each table, and it's sorta dark and neat. While there, he drank an entire pot of tea with a lot of honey. After that, we stopped by the apartment of some of the girls in my sorority just to say hi and show him the on campus apartments (we were talking about them and how they differ at different schools)

At the end of the night, we were on the sidewalk and it was raining, and I went in to kiss him (oooh! kissing on the first date - scandalous!) and he sorta, um....to put it bluntly...dodged me.

And I ended up biting his neck.

Talk about awkward!

However, on the second date, he most definitely kissed me and the rest as they say, is history!!

It's actually kinda long and twisted...haha
My mom went to high school with his parents. Then, years later, my mom and his mom were in the same lamaze (however you spell it) class while his mom was pregnant with Dave and my mom was pregnant with Alyson. They were born the same weekend, in the same hospital, and they joked about their new babies being friends when older. Then my sister wrote in his yearbook in highschool, something like, "you didn't really know me, but I always thought you were cute" and her number. He called her and they hung out as friends, but not romantically or anything. I remember meeting him in my house one night when I came home from ballet in a leotard and just thinking, "wow! He may be your friend, but I want him!" Haha.

Fast forward years later. I'm 21, we go to the bar that most of my high school meets at the day before Thanksgiving. I'm there with my sister who is newly engaged and is showing her friends the ring and talking. He comes up to Alyson to say hi and whatnot. Alyson gets called over by someone else, and I'm just standing there. So, Dave starts talking to me. He said that he always knew I was Alyson's little sister from cheerleading and high school and what not, but didn't know much about me. At the time, I had a boyfriend.

By the beginning of the next February, Joe and I had broken up. That same weekend, Dave randomly contacts me on myspace asking how I'm doing and if I remembered him - that sort of thing. We then chatted on aim. I was also talking to my sorority sister at the same time, and I made a bet with her that by the end of the conversation with Dave, I would have scored myself a date. (Since I had just broken up with Joe, and I was back in the "game" I thought I was up for a good challenge!) I mean, I really didn't know much about him other than I knew our parents were good friends (PTA and stuff) and that I always had a crush on him.

Well, I got him to ask me out for an upcoming Tuesday. (the 14th) I won the bet with Kathy. She was impressed with my ability to get dates, hahaha. (As was I)

On the night of the 13th, he called and was like, um you do know tomorrow is Valentine's Day? Are you sure you want to spend it with me? Like....um...

And I thought to myself "if you cancel before the date even happens - I will FREAK OUT."

But I guess he just felt that V-day has like, pressure attached, but it was all good.

So then, we met up!

And I liked him! I was actually shocked about how much I liked him since I really wasn't looking for another relationship, but I dunno - I just wanted to be around him and his reactions and lifestyle were exactly what I was looking for/like my own.

So yeh. That's how I met him. Long and convoluted, but really cute!

I always joke around - how did I meet him? Well, in a bar? he 'dated' my sister? on Myspace? hahahaha

Haha. You bit him on the neck. That's a great story. Wow... 3 years! That's awesome.

I'm not sure how I ended up biting him while going in for a kiss, and I'm not sure why he dodged me, but it still is funny!

It doesn't feel like three years! It feels like forever in some ways cause I can't imagine not being with him, and it feels shorter because it's always fun to be around him and never boring or just in a pattern or anything...
