Shopping shopping shopping...

Today ended up being better than I thought.

I ended up going shopping with my mom cause I had a gift certificate from Christmas and I ended up picking out 3 pairs of shoes that they had in stock, mostly on sale, and in my size!

Sweet deal. With the gift certificate, they were all free. I was going to get a Juicy Couture charm bracelet, but this department store doesn't carry them. Another time.

It was kinda a money spending weekend. I went out to dinner with Dave last night, which is something we generally don't do a lot of.

I got new brakes - that was like, $500.

When I got home this evening, I ordered a cookbook from Barnes and Noble that I have had my eye on - Apples for Jam. That was also with a gift certificate - from my birthday in September! So it was nice to use that, and I'm excited to receive the book!

And who can forget to add in the Webkinz tye dye frog I bought yesterday...haha

So yeh. It's a good thing I totally have a job, even though a lot of that was "free" - except the brakes, but I would have needed to pay for that anyway.

I also wanted to go through my closet tonight in the hopes of "bring 3 pairs of shoes in, export 3 things as well" but it didn't totally work. I had one pair set aside to give away since the donation truck is coming to my neighborhood anyway (I actually had them set aside before my mom told me they were coming...good timing), and I'm thinking of ditching a pair of cheerleading sneakers and my all time FAVORITE Banana Republic moccasins. The ties are yucky, they're sorta stained, the treads on the bottom are flat. It's time. So sad. I then have one more pair of denim ballet flats where the sole is sorta peeling - they're not good enough shoes to get 'fixed' and I don't want to trip and die while wearing them. So they may meet their demise as well tonight. Again, sad. Oh well. I'll get over it.

For fun: here are the green mocs the day I got them:

Also - the jeans in that picture - Paper Denim and Cloth with 3 pre-holed holes? They're on the outs as well. They're from 2003 (maybe earlier? I got them when I was with my first year of college boyfriend, Ken - making it - wow 2002!!!) They cost about $200 at the time, and I LOVE them. But again, another piece of clothing, on the outs....

So I did my level best to help the economy this weekend. Dinner out, brakes, 3 pairs of shoes, a webkinz and a cookbook. I don't go out that much, so I don't pay cover charges and for drinks the way I have in the past and the way people I know still do. I don't smoke. I usually bring my lunches from home! So I save like crazy in some ways, and spend a lot in other ways...It's fun.

It's by "Jeffrey Campbell," which I had never heard of before trying them on..I honestly thought they were Juicy Couture at first cause I saw an emblem and JC...

Here is a link to a bunch of JC shoes:

My pair doesn't seem to be in there, but there is my style in a giraffe print which is really cute.

Here is my exact pair

I think those are the flats you meant - if you meant the green moccasins, those are Banana Republic from years ago.

The zebra flats are Steve Madden, and the patent leather wedges are Jessica Simpson, of all things. I was a little unsure at first, but they're sooooo comfortable and were a decent price. I needed patent leather wedges...so, Jessica Simpson shoes it is!

I love Jeffrey Campbell shoes! He also makes some really nice boots. Urban Outfitters sell his things a lot and the few I've owned have been very comfortable and cute :)

Cute shoes! I have been looking for a pair of zebra flats. All three pairs are adorable.

I have the cookbook, Apples for Jam and I love it! I haven't made as many recipes out of it as I would have liked but everything I've tried has been yummy! Her other cookbook is good too... I can't for the life of me think of the title though... I think it's called Twelve?
