Spring Awakening was wonderful!

Not the most flattering pic of us, but here we are in front of the sign!

And Dave thought it would be cute if I posed next to a NYC Clydesdale. I think it was a Clydesdale. I honestly don't remember now and I can't see his footies in this picture to see if it is or not...oops. (Edit: now after posting and looking at the pic instead of just writing about it in html code, it just looks like a horse. No Clydesdale. But I did see a few pulling carriages while we were in the restaurant!)

After the show we waited by the stage door and got the autographs of most of the cast. That was a lot of fun, and something I hadn't done in years! My favorite character in the show was really cool outside in real life too - he and Dave were talking about stuff as well, which was nice!!

Before the show we went to eat dinner at a favorite NYC restaurant of ours. I had this wonderful chicken dish with cheese, bacon and breadcrumbs, baked in a ramikan. It came with flatbread and a salad and was wonderful!

Tonight we had a dinner party at his parent's house with friends of his family. It was so much fun, and I had met the couple before, but the wife and I really hit it off, talking about vintage clothing and fashion and decorating and all those wonderful topics that I love. John, Lisa, Michelle and Thorsten were all there too (obviously) and we were talking about all their upcoming wedding stuff, which was fun!

Speaking of which, one of my close friends got engaged on Valentine's Day! She and I lived together one summer of Surflight - my first year - in fact, I was 16 and couldn't drive, and she was stuck driving me around all summer...haha! Jen. We are getting together very soon to hang out and discuss life cause we actually haven't hung out in, embarassingly, years. Life just took us both separate directions for the past few years, but we've chatted a lot lately and as I said, made plans, and I'm excited for her! She has been with her fiance for about a year and a half, and I haven't met him! I also don't think she has ever hung out with Dave and I together as a couple - I know I ran into her in a bar one night when I was dating Dave, but he wasn't with me! How funny is that?

So yeh! Exciting!

Today I had a lot of freelance web work - 2 meetings, edits, designs, emails, etc. Mandi - if you get into freelance web work, you'll love it. I work as a web designer for a university and love doing it for other clients as well. It's so exciting to get a new client and design what they want. Love it. So that kept me busy, but it was good!!

Ok. Bed time. I'm so tired. I think it's the (small) amount of red wine I drank with dinner. haha. Probably not. But I'm pooped!

You guys look so cute :) Also, I know exactly where that Sbarro's is in the 2nd pic. That's where we ate on our second night in NY!

I love the picture with you and the horse. I especially love your Coach patchwork tote and toggle jacket!
You have such fantastic taste, Alex. Your idea about the martini, broadway show, audition and shopping trip wasn't so bad!

Funniest thing, and this does make me seem like a stalker...the place where I work sells our bags to about 60 stores down the East coast and there was a woman from New Jersey who joked that she and her husband came all the way back to Portsmouth to come to the store because the one that sells Anna Street products near her didn't have a big enough selection - since I'm nosy I asked where she was from and she said Tinton Falls! Of course I thought of you. She said 'I want to open up a store just for your stuff in Red Bank - It's a super trendy area and these bags would fly off the shelves!' Pretty funny, such a small world :)

That's so funny! I almost went to Red Bank this morning but ending up doing work instead. It is a trendy area - and Tinton Falls is a bordering city and was where I could afford...

I saw you also mentioned the brand you work for in your 101...what is it? What do you do? Do you have a site I can look at?

And this is off topic and I might post this in my lj too, but there is a jewelry designer someone told me about that I like and you might too - tarinatarantino.com Someone told me about the site since they liked the layout (and I do too - it's fun and non-flash - sorta nice to see what people do with graphics and rollovers!) and then I liked the jewelrey, headbands and handbags too! They also have dog necklaces!!

The Coach bag was from Dave at Christmas. The white toggle jacket - Banana Republic. Thanks!!!

I work for a brand called Anna Street Studio based out of Portsmouth N.H. (which is also a somewhat trendy/seaside area). We also have stores in Portland, ME and Hingham, MA. The website is annastreet.com but has hardly anything on it right now. I know Nick (the owner's husband) is working to update it so it should be full of goodies in a week or two.

I'm going to check out the link you posted now; I love accessories! I'm also a fan of Peggy Li (peggyli.com). I discovered her when I lived by San Franciso and her pieces are handmade, gorgeous, and very reasonably priced!

and one other thing...isn't Tarina Tarantino the one who paired up with Hello Kitty and did a collection a year or two ago? I think I remember seeing it and really liking it when I was in NYC.
