Today was Lisa's bridal shower, so my mom and I went. There was a raffle, and my ticket was picked which was pretty sweet. Also, when everyone walked in the room, they were given a bell around their neck to wear. Anytime someone said "John" or "Lisa" and you caught then, you took their bell. At the end of the party, whoever had the most bells won. Well, I won. Kinda embarassing that I won two of the party games, but good for me!

There was also a poem where you added up points based on what you were wearing - like, +5 for pearls, -2 for no pantyhose, etc. I ended up with a -6 since a few of the questions were ++'s for black shoes, open toed shoes, heels, and stuff like that. I was wearing bronze flat mules from Banana Republic, which are no where near black open toed heels.

There was also a survey game of who knew the bride and groom best - first car, childhood activity, childhood pets, favorite store, favorite food, etc. I did well on that for John, but poorly on Lisa.

This was basically the first shower I've ever been to - my family doesn't really 'do' showers - for my sister, I threw one at work on lunch break with sandwiches, where everyone chipped in for a large gift and a few smaller ones. The only non-work people there were my mom and Aunt Betty. The big gift we bought her was the KitchenAid mixer. So, showers are fairly foreign to me.

Here I am with the gift for having the most bells!!

Me and my mommy

Me, Ginny and Allison. They are Dave's first cousins on his father's side and were sitting at my table.

I called Dave when I got home and he is still working on projects and whatnot. Maybe I'll see him a little later? If not, I'll try to work on some homework.
