IM Conversation with Dave. I think my fingers type faster than my brain works.

Me: I've decided honey - when we do get to vacation, we are going to san diego i want to go.

Dave: that could work, but san fran is just as pretty.
what convinced you of this ?

Me: not sure. on my livejournal, a bunch of people live near there, and they all post pics. cindy went there two years ago. i want to see sea lions. the bridge. lombard street, alcatraz, the wharf. ghiradelli

Dave: yes san fran then it is

Me: glad I convinced you. I know you've been there, so if there is any place you like, I'm open to suggestion.
Germany works too! (His sister's fiance is from Germany and there is talk of them moving there for a year for work, and we discussed last night how we would go visit them)

honey i said the wrong city. I meant san fransisco lol

Dave: oh.

Me: not diego. diego has the zoo. that's where steph wants to go. lol
hahahahahah I'm so dumb.
fransisco! you were correct!

Dave: no more dye for you

Me: see, you read my mind even when I said the wrong thing.

Dave: lol that's funny honey

hahahaha. Oops. I didn't edit it completely to show the "train of thought" and quick typing, but I did edit/organize some of it so it's readable and makes sense.

I'm at work this morning. I've already had a meeting, and the work keeps on piling up!

Freelance work is going well too. Last night, I did a bunch of edits and a bunch of billing. Tonight I have more edits and layout designs, and a business card design as well which should be fun. It's really starting to feel like two full time jobs - and I'm really thankful for that! The freelance work is really picking up even more and I'm thrilled! I just have to keep my head on straight and make sure that I do get everything finished in a quick and timely manner. So far, so good.

Tomorrow I have the day off, woohoo! I'm sure I will be spending it doing web edits, but that's fine. In the evening I am going to the church and the rehearsal dinner with Dave. I'm not sure what to wear. I want to wear a silk dress, but the one I am thinking of has open shoulders. I can't wear open shoulders in a Catholic church, can I? Dave has a new beautiful tie and I told him to wear that, or his Burberry green one that I gave him a while back. So I think he's wearing a suit, or at least a shirt and tie, so I do think I won't be overdressed in a "dress." However, there is a beautiful bubble hem Anthropologie skirt I have with metallic embroidery that I can wear with the gold shirt from J Crew I bought last weekend, tucked in, and the black new Banana Republic heels. I might do that. But I still need to cover my shoulders in the church, right?

haha. I don't even know. I really don't want to be offensive though...

Yeah most Catholic weddings are very against showing shoulders, depends on strick they are. I went to a catholic wedding and it said right on the invitation "no shoulders, dresses knee length" and it was in july,,,soooo hott!

That's what I figured. I don't know how strict they are, or how strict the church is, so I'm not going to risk it. I have a black velvet blazer that I can wear to the church and then strip at the dinner.

I just visited your journal and 101 - are you still doing it?

Yeah I really need to update it!! :D

Um, my church isn't THAT strict. I've never heard of an invitation stating what you can or can't wear unless, for a wedding, it said Formal or Semi-formal or even casual. Maybe it's the area? Go with what's the norm for the area.

I'm pretty sure where I live that bare shoulders in Catholic churches are not permitted. However, I'm Protestant, so what do I know! haha

Just thought I'd give an update: I asked Dave about it and he had never heard of it. I've been to his church before, but I didn't have bare shoulders, so I never thought to ask, hahaha. So, I've nixed the blazer idea!

Yea San Fran is nice...There is Monterey Bay Aquarium half way to there. There is fishermans wharf and riding the cable cars is cool also. San Diego is also nice too, much warmer there.
