I signed up for direct deposit a little while back and today *should* have been the first time that it worked. It didn't, yet. So, tomorrow, I'm going to check again. It doesn't really matter since I don't have any bills or anything due now that needed that money, but it would make me feel a little bit better if I just saw it in my account instead of waiting for it.

Work went well today. I was able to finish and publish a site for a division that is quite large. My boss was thrilled that it was finished and published, and that made me happy.

After work, I came home and Dave came over. We helped my father set up the pool pump to the inground pool. This is the first summer with it, and we really didn't know what we were doing, but we were able to figure it out. My dad had to call the former owner and he helped immensely. Alyson and Jim were there helping as well - we all got kinda wet and dirty from the cover, the skimmer, the pump, the waterbags, etc. The pool will now most likely be completely swimmable for Father's Day and that makes me happy!

After we worked on the pool, Dave and I just hung out. He got a haircut today by a new girl since his regular girl was booked. I reallllly liked it! He's such a "guy" and it was really fun watching him do all "guy" stuff for the pool - lifting, fixing, connecting, electric work, etc.

He told me that he saw an old friend at Martin's mother's funeral today that called him "Mc Mutton chops" and "Mc Chop Chops." I found that really funny, actually. There are times that I don't even realize that the sideburns are there, but obviously they are quite large and apparent. They're different. Not my all time favorite, but if they make him happy, so be it!

Bedtime. I'm tired.

i don't have a pool but my best friend who lives in connecticut does and going to see her and spending days on the deck with drinks and snacks and swimming is generally the highlight of my summer. nice, clean swimming!
