Yesterday, I had a great day and a great "date" night with Dave.

In the morning, I did SO MUCH laundry and ironing. About two months ago (yikes!) I went through my closet, and I made a pile of clothing that needed to be washed - it was good clothing, just a little wrinkled or "not so fresh" from being piled in my closet. So, I washed it all and had it in a basket in my craft room to be ironed. Of course, I never got around to ironing it, and then as I wore more clothing that got washed and needed it to be ironed, it also got added to the basket. So, yesterday, I tackled the job and ironed EVERYTHING in the basket. And amazingly, my summer wardrobe has now basically doubled. (I ironed about 7 pairs of 3/4 pants that are now back in my closet for me to wear!)

I also have a small wicker basket for super gentle laundry - dry cleaning and hand wash items. I did some of them, but there are still about 9 shirts in there that I need to either dry clean or hand wash. Maybe I can work that down a bit today too. I like having all of my clothing available and none of it sitting in laundry baskets!

In the evening, Dave and I went to a nearby swanky mall for dinner at PF Chang's. It was super yummy - I got the Crispy Honey Chicken. There was just a bit too much food (we ordered the Peking Dumplings for the starter, I got the Honey Chicken and Dave got Beef with Broccoli) and we didn't have any room for dessert. I would have liked a slightly smaller portion of chicken and then I would have had dessert too. Oh well. It was reallllly good though!

After the dinner, we walked around the mall and looked in Pottery Barn for desk options for my side room (not seriously though - just looking at ideas). We found one we both like, but it really isn't high on the priority list for shopping. I also went to Tiffany's and purchased the silver cupcake charm with pink enamel icing. A few months ago, I went to Tiffany with my mom and saw their "Charm bar" for charm bracelets. I was also toying with the idea of getting a Juicy Couture charm bracelet. However, I ultimately decided the Juicy charms were a bit too big and I didn't love the idea of gold plate. So, my mom said for the next event, she would get me the Tiffany one with a charm for that event - and I received the "Class of 08" lock charm and the bracelet for graduation from my parents. I'm in love. One of my friend's parents gave me a gift certificate as a graduation gift, and I decided that with that money, I would get the cupcake charm to add on to my bracelet. And I did! The salesman had a real easy time with me - the store was closing in 15 minutes. I walked up to the charm bar, and was like, hi - where's the cupcake? He pulled it out and attached it to my bracelet. I was like, ok. I'll take one. Normally the cupcake has to be soldered on, but since I had my bracelet with me and didn't want to solder, he gave me a free silver attaching clip (I wonder if everyone gets them for free? lol. Probably). Then I was like, well, since I'm here, can you polish the entire bracelet? And he did, for free - and gave me a free polishing cloth in my little blue baggie. So funny - in all the years, no one has ever given me a polishing cloth. hahaha. One cupcake charm = free goodies. Who knew?

So my bracelet is very festive now with a pink cupcake and a graduation lock. And I'm happy!

After walking through the rest of the mall - we stopped in Bloomie's for Dave in the men's section and the clothing was super drab - we went to my house and then went swimming in the pool. Aunt Betty gave us leftover cupcakes (yesterday was a cupcake day!) that I had made for her party, and a lot of leftover fruit salad. Yum.

After swimming, we hung out and watched "Saving Silverman."

Pretty good "date." I say "date" in quotes cause I think he and I are a bit beyond dating, but it was definitely a lot of fun!

My mom and I didn't make it to church this week, and next week I have a wedding, so I don't know if I will make it then either. I'm going to try to make not going "worth it" by getting a lot done this morning. Then I won't feel as guilty for not going.

That's funny, the very first time I went to Tiffany, they gave me a polishing cloth and polishing cream, too! Of course, my mom dropped about $500 at one time there, so that may have been why....

"hi, where's the cupcake?" lol. I'm going to try to use that in everyday conversation. Hee.

I have to do laundry right away or else it just sits there, mocking me.

Sounds like a great day to me! (Except the laundry part, ha ha. Although Frank's been doing that this weekend - SCARY! He has 3x the amount of clothes I do, I swear..)

Anyway, I need to get my open-heart ring polished in a very bad way.. the underside is so banged up just from everyday wear. Do they polish for free or do you have to have just bought something? May sound silly but I really do need to get it done so I figured you'd know! My necklace is okay obviously but that's because it only touches skin, not everything else in the world.

Also I've been DYING for cupcakes or something of the sort. Everyone's been making/eating them and I'm going to cave soon...! eep!

I've also wanted to try PF Chang's forever! I think there's one around 30 minutes from here, so far everyone says they are great, so maybe we'll check it out soon! :) It's just hard usually to justify going out to eat "around here" when the city.. while far away - still has a gazillion options. Decisions, decision! LOL! (Plus we eat at home the majority of the time anyway. I think we're making crab cakes tonight)

But anyway I've seen that cupcake charm and it's super cute! I"m glad they didnt solder it on because then what if you wanted to change them around?!

I'm not sure about their polishing policy. I always had assumed that cleaning and whatnot is free as part of their product guarentee, but every time I've had them polish something, I was in the process of buying something else, almost like they did it as a "favor" since I was buying more. So I really don't know the answer!

Dave and I haven't been out to eat on our own as a "date" in a while. It's expensive, but it is definitely fun!

After I read this I went over to Tiffany.com and looked at the charms, super cute! Now I want one. I liked the little blue enamel present box the best, and after that I liked the little round circle that said "T & Co" in pink enamel (I'm super into enamel lately, kinda random), and after it the long silver bar that says "Tiffany & Co."

I feel like if I cave and get myself one it could be addicting, hahaha.

Why didn't you want your cupcake soldered on? I have a regular sterling silver charm bracelet and I just got a soldering iron to try out. I looove my charm bracelet and I have charms on it from all the vacations I've taken. Once when I was wearing it I lost one of my charms (luckily a replaceable one) and I've been nervous about wearing it ever since!

It is so addicting! I want the lollipop next and the Scottie dog engraved with "tuffy"

I just feel that if they get soldered on, I can't ever take them off or move them around. I only have two charms now, but there may be some times I just want like, 1 charm on. I dunno yet. Maybe after I get enough to fill up the whole bracelet I will permanently attach them. Who knows.

I say you should go for it and start a charm collection as well! My cupcake is enameled too- I love it!

You could always just clip the ring that gets soldered on and move it around. Of course then you'd need a new jump ring which is kind of a pain.

I actually already have a huge collection of charms (none from Tiffany though!), I'm already on my second bracelet. I started the first on in high school- basically every time I go on vacation or have a milestone event I get one for myself, and if they're big enough I engrave them too. Although, right now I have a few charms I need to get engraved and then attach. Last Christmas my mom got me a soldering iron so it'd be nice to do that as well so I'd feel comfortable wearing the bracelet again!

That sounds so cool! It must be really pretty with all the various charms!
