It's been a few days since I've updated - a lot has happened, but at the same time, I'm not sure if I have a whole lot to write about. Let's see...

Friday morning, I drove to the LBI house with my mother, sister, Rory and Charles. We stopped off at my townhouse on the way there to check on it and all is well. (No flooded water heater or anything crazy like that!) We then continued on to LBI and went to the beach, and had dinner at one of our favorite LBI restaurants. In the evening, we went shopping, and I bought my mom an original artwork of a boston terrier, and one for Dave's father of great danes. I also bought awesome lingerie (there is a store there that I yearly go to for goodies, and it's the BEST place!) and we just walked around the island and stuff. I got a call from Dave during the day that he was at our pool at home, alone - hahaha. It was hot, he had the day off of work as well, so he went swimming!

Saturday morning I played phone tag with Dave's sister all morning - we kept missing each other! She is planning her bachelorette party for August and I am giving her the townhouse as a place to stay. Why pay for a hotel room when my place is nicer? hahaha. So we planned the details for that. Alyson and I then basically finished painting the LBI kitchen (another thing of my 101 in 1001 list!) I still need to paint behind the refrigerator, but you can't see it anyway so it really doesn't matter. I started painting 2 years ago when we got the new cabinets and granite counter tops. Dave put up tile backer board, so the backsplash is ready to be tiled. Last summer though, I just didn't have time to paint and my mom and I were still deciding on tiles for the backsplash. So, we finished the painting, and my mom and I have a general idea of what type of tile we want (small, mosaic type tiles) but we still need to do tile shopping.

Then, I went to the beach again with my mom and sister, and we had taylor ham and cheese sandwiches for lunch. The bagel store on the boulevard on my block is amazing, and I crave them. Love it. I stopped over at Cynthia's parents' shore house (it's 7 blocks from my shore house) and they were home - so I talked to them for a while and hugged Jazmin, their 14.5 year old bichon (who really couldn't see or hear me...poor baby!) We then did more shopping - I bought a pretty awesome jersey and dip dye long dress that I plan on wearing to Michelle's rehearsal dinner. I'm in love. There is an amazing store on the island - Tula, and I tried on a couple of dresses and outfits and restrained myself to only buying this one dress. They also JUST opened another Tula store by my townhouse! Ahhhh! Love it. I'm excited to see their fall/winter collection, because for the past two years (it's a new store in LBI) they only had summer clothing since it's only open during the summer. I'm excited!

After shopping, we just hung around the house and walked the babies. I finished the book I was reading, Liberating Paris and I enjoyed it. Not the best ever, but it was enjoyable.

On Saturday at home, I got a call from Dave who again was in the pool - with his parents and my dad! They were having a pool party, hahaha. Call me crazy, but for some reason it is super important to me that my parents and Dave's parents are close. And that I am close to his parents, and he is close to my parents. So the fact that they make plans and hang out IN MY ABSENCE is just amazing to me! I took a picture of myself on the beach with my phone and sent it to Dave, and he sent one of him in the pool and sent it to me. Adorable.

On Sunday morning, I went to the beach alone since my mom and sister didn't want any more sun -they both got a bit pink on Saturday. I also have a *tad* bit more of a base tan since I've been in the pool like a freaking fish, but I also am so afraid of getting burned, that I put so much lotion on. Well, it was soooo cold Sunday morning (this was like, 10 am). So, I left after sitting for about 4 minutes and not even taking off my terry cloth beach dress. Boo. We then packed, and bought another round of taylor ham and cheese sandwiches for lunch.

On the way home, we stopped by the Tula boutique near my townhouse. It was a nice break in driving (the LBI house is about 2 hours and 15 minutes, or 2 and a 1/2 hours from my northern NJ house) and it was fun to just say "hi" to the new location and the girls who work there, along with comparing the inventory of both locations. Alyson found a dress she liked that was original insanely expensive, but was 50% off, making it semi- doable. We both tried it on but it wasn't perfect. And for the insane price (even half off) we weren't in love with it.

Sunday as soon as I got home, I went in the pool with my dad for two hours (this made up for the cold beach time that morning). I got out, did some web work and unpacked. Then Dave came over, and he and I went in the pool, and my dad then joined us. Dave was in the pool before I got there - he just went straight to the gate to go swimming. He had a big noodle behind his head, and two on his ankles. I said his name, nothing. I said it again, nothing. I said it louder, he didn't move. For a hot second, I really thought that something terrible had happened. I yelled it, and he jumped and fell into the water - he had fallen asleep! His head was above the water, so I *guess* he really wasn't in danger of drowning, but still - a little too unsafe and scary for my likes! I was scared!

Sunday evening, we went to Jim and Alyson's since Jim had made tacos cause he knew we'd be tired when we got home. I then went over to Dave's, and arrived just in time for their dinner - his mom bbq'ed chicken. I really didn't eat, but it was nice to sit by them and John and Lisa were there as well.

Monday: back to work. I love work, but seriously, boo after being on the beach for the weekend! After work, Dave came over and we swam AGAIN and my dad swam with us too. Dave is like, information king when it comes to birds and bugs and nature. A blue something herring flew over the pool and he pointed it out - apparently that's weird for our part of NJ. Then he found a goldfinch (the NJ state bird) and pointed it out. A dragonfly dipped into the water, and he explained that it just dropped a load of eggs cause that's how they reproduce - little baby eggs are now in our pool. Ha. He found a dead cicada killer in the filter, and then he and my dad talked about cicada bugs being buried for 17 years, coming out, mating, and then dying. (What a life) Then we counted monarch butterflies - and there were a bunch! The pool is like, nature-land!

I was so excited to see Dave after being away for 3 days. Or 2 days, really. Yeh. That sounds pathetic, but I thnk he was happy to see me too. :)

After our swim last night, I made him a chicken cordon bleu dinner, and then finished up (for the most part) a site for a client. BlueBird Ski Tours. The company is offering bus tours to and from semi-local ski mountains. Very cool idea.

Tonight I am meeting with a new client which should be fun. I'm looking forward to working on this site as well, after hearing the concept! (specific interior design) I also have other edits and design work to do (dentist, actress, and some other small updates on other sites) Business is good! I'm thrilled!

In Webkinz world, it is the "Wacky Zingoz" festival - and on one game you need a certain score to get a trophy. I had been trying, but not super hard, and hadn't gotten one. I was playing yesterday and not thinking about it - and I got the trophy! It's the little things in life that excite me.

Today is Tuesday. I have some projects here I need to finish, but still - all is going well. I'm proud of my productive-ness. My boss told me to take a day off, and I may do that this week. This weekend is going to be fun too - can't wait!

I'm now going to add tags - I think I've mentioned like, every one of my tags in this entry! I'm still behind on posting pictures. I have pictures from the wedding with Dave that are cute that I'd like to share. We also took Rory and Charles to the beach on Friday night and took pictures - Rory hates water, but she ran into the ocean! It was so cute! So when I get my act together, I will post those as well.
